Miles City--- General Nelson A. Miles who commanded the forces at Fort Keogh, just west of Miles City, gave his name to one of the greatest Cow towns in the West. From Fort Keogh General Miles went out to bring the Indians to terms following Custer?s smashing defeat on the Little Big Horn. Miles City once was the greatest horse market in the world and still is a leading livestock center.
