How Your Town Got It?s Name
Courtesy of John WillardGlendive--- Sir George Gore, while hunting in southwestern Montana saw in the small creek entering the Yellowstone River here a resemblance to Glendive Creek in his native Ireland. This was in 1856 but the name stuck to both creek and town.
