The Dave Lunder Family of 193? | Navigation Links |
OleBetty Jean, Donald Lee, Grace Juanita, Dave Gaehart (clockwise from upper left) Dave lunder family At the time of this picture, we were living south of Ekalaka Montana . The picture was taken in Baker, 42 miles north of Ekalaka. That was a trip and a half, that never happened too often. I don't remember what the occasion was but it must have been very important to go that far. My father was born in Minnesota and moved to Montana with his family in about 1910 And made their home at Willard which is about half way between Ekalaka and Baker Montana. His father T.T. Lunder homesteaded near Willard. My first year of school was at the Lunder school, my grandfather built it, and gave it to the State. This was the only way he had to give his kids and the other homesteaders kids an education. My Mother was born in Ekalaka and lived there till marrying my Father in 1924 My Sister was also born in Ekalaka and know resides in Wibaux Montana with her husband Ernie Maus If any one has a picture of the Lunder school I would appreciate receiving it , if so you can attach it to an Email and send it to: Don@Old-Timers-USA.com Thank you and hope to see you soon Don Lunder
