The town of Logan was the birthplace
of Norma Annette Smith Manlove B: 24 Oct 1906 & her sister Charlotte(Pat) Ermina Smith Manlove B:23 Aug 1910 at Grandma Olsen`s Maternity Home.
Their mother was Beulah A Olsen(married Norman Allen(N.A.) Smith daughter of Augusta(Lottie)Fredricka
Charlotte Olsen who operated a boarding house for railroad men.After the NPR Company built a new depot and lunchroom there was no need for her boarding house. She turned her home into a maternity home and for several years worked with Dr.Charles E. Whitehead.
The origianl town was called Cannon House,the named changed to Logan in 1889 after Odelia Logan aquired the right of way in 1885.

I would like to share some information,but I was just young and not really sure about it. I thing in the late 1950's to early 1960's my Grandparents Rueben and Marion Gaulke either owned or just ran a small store in Niehart. My father was their only child and would like to know more if possible. Thanks.

I am seeking relatives to my great grandfather's (Johannes Andersson L?fstedt) brother Thomas Northy (born as Otto Andersson). Thomas Northy was born 27 January 1865 in Ny?ngen, Visnum parish, V?rmland, Sweden. He emigrated to Rutland, New York 1881. Thomas mother died 1878 and his father died 1879. Thomas travelled to Montana 1883 to work as a navvy. Thomas settled down in Red Lodge, Carbon County. See Thomas Northy biography (The progressive men of the state Montana).
